Mestre Hojat Lofti 4ª, 21 de abril de 2021
Abstract: A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into jaw bone to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants may be an optionforpeople who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. Dental Implant invented in 1952 by a Swedishorthopedic surgeon “Ingvar Branenark” but his studies and refine leads to a presentation at the 1982 in Toronto conference. Dental Implant improve at least appearance, comfort, easier eating and oral health, it has a high success rate, but some people experience dental implant failure. It is estimated that about 5-10 percent of dental implants fail, either shortly after a procedure or months or years later. This seminar reviews the implant's short history, along with its benefits, potential problems, materials and lifetime.
