 Resumo:
The daily routine in a hospital exposes the medical doctors to stressful situations, in which they need to make decisions as fast as possible and always considering that a person’s life depends on it. Besides the complete and hard education that a medical doctor has in his life, the decision making is not only influenced by this, some external factors have a big influence on the final decision. One influencing factor is the individual personality. This thesis purpose is combining both, personality and medical decision making, to improve the final decision. By means of biosignals, such as electrocardiogram and electrodermal activity, and by monitoring the human computer interaction, our aim is to assess the individual personality. Then we expect to establish a relation between the personality and the ability to make good decisions. The final intention is to create and validate tools to improve the medical decision.
