Nova University of Lisbon has been awarded an excellent (5-Star) rating by QS Stars University Ratings, one of the most recognized and prestigious international evaluation systems for higher education institutions.
NOVA achieved top scores in eight of the nine areas analyzed—Teaching, Facilities, Employability, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Impact, Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, and Global Engagement—reflecting its commitment to quality, excellence, and the impact of its activities.
According to the QS Stars system, a university with a 5-Star rating stands out for its global reputation, strong international student appeal, and cutting-edge infrastructure, enabling it to develop research projects of great national and international relevance. It also has highly qualified teaching staff, with professionals from various countries, and an innovative curriculum that prepares its students for successful careers in multiple fields. For this reason, employers tend to directly recruit graduates from institutions with this rating.
The 5-Star distinction in QS Stars is, therefore, a recognition of the high quality, coherence and international impact of NOVA, as a whole, and of the success of the academic projects of each of its schools, in particular, reaffirming its role as a university of excellence at the service of teaching, science, and society.
