An important part of our interaction with Nature, with objects and even with people derives from our perception of light and colours. Colours convey information: a green strawberry is inedible but colour gives us hope – that it will turn into a delicious red strawberry. Colours give us orders: green, go ahead, yellow, stop, red, don’t even think about it! Colours influence our mood, create environments, code resistance, alert us to danger – yes, that beautiful blue frog really is poisonous. Light and colours are an integral part of our lives, so in this course we will look at light and colours from a scientific perspective, from the anatomy and physiology of vision to the Physics of light, and carry out various experimental activities.
The course will take place from July 15 to 18, 2025 and registration is open until June 30.
