Pedro Casinha, a Biomedical Engineering student at Nova FCT, was crowned world champion in the K4 500m in Milan, Italy. The team won the 500m final, adding this title to the European title they won in June. The Portuguese quartet crossed the finish line in 1:18.93, ahead of Hungary (1:18.98) and Spain (1:19.33).
