A significant part of our interaction with nature, objects, and even people stems from our perception of light and color. Colors convey information: a green strawberry is inedible, but the color gives us hope – the hope that it will transform into a delicious red strawberry. Colors give us orders: green, go ahead; yellow, stop; red, don't even think about it! Colors influence our mood, create environments, encode resistance, and warn of danger – yes, that beautiful blue frog is indeed poisonous. Light and color are an integral part of our lives, so in this course we will look at light and color from a scientific perspective, from the anatomy and physiology of vision to the physics of light, and carry out various experimental activities.
The course takes place from July 13th to 16th, 2026, and registration is open until June 15th.
